Vehicle Mechanic
Job description
Our client is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join their team based in Lisburn.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics: Inspecting engines, mechanical parts, and electrical components to accurately identify faults.
- System Repairs: Using diagnostic tools to inspect and repair vehicle computer and electronic systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Carrying out service work including fluid changes, lubrication, and safety checks to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Mechanical Repairs: Fixing leaks and replacing broken or dysfunctional parts (suspension, brakes, timing belts, etc.).
- Estimating & Advice: Providing accurate estimates for time and cost, while advising motorists on the best maintenance schedules for their vehicles.
- Workshop Standards: Keeping detailed logs of all work completed and maintaining tools and equipment in top condition.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Well-versed in complex mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
- Ability to think logically to troubleshoot difficult issues.
- Proficiency in using modern workshop equipment and diagnostic scanners.
- A commitment to vehicle safety and functionality.
