Job description

The postholder will be required to provide an effective and highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service primarily in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for the highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and management of dysphagia.
• To be responsible for the highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and management of the full range of communication disorders in adults within the stroke service, for example dysphasia, dysarthria and dyspraxia.
• To work efficiently as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Speech & Language Therapy.
• RCSLT and HCPC Registration.
• Recognised Post Graduate Qualification in Dysphagia and evidence of ability to manage adult dysphagia caseload independently for over 12 months.

£47,810 - £54,710 per annum pro rata. Location - Causeway Hospital Site: Main Building.
