Job description

The post holder will be the pharmacy site lead for the Mater Hospital and will responsible for ensuring that services are of a high quality, flexible and responsive to the needs of users and the organisation and delivered across seven days as required. As site lead the post holder will be responsible for 2 functional areas ensuring that services are of high quality, flexible and responsive to the needs of users, the organisation and regional and national standards of best practice. Patient Services and ensuring the provision of a safe dispensary and distribution environment which will encompass skill mix and role development whilst ensuirng all regulatory responsibilities are safely met. Manage and develop the clinical pharmacy services at Mater Hospital, acting as a role model and providing high-level practice. Ensure that services are of high quality, flexible and responsive to the needs of users, the organisation and national requirements. The post holder, reporting into the Trust clinical pharmacy development team, lead by the Trust Clinical Pharmacy Development lead will assist in the strategic management and development of BHSCT clinical pharmacy services to develop and maintain a culture of safety and excellence. The post holder will be responsible for health and safety (inclusive of BRAAT) on site and will ensure that this is appropriately delegated despite retaining overall responsibility for health and safety on the Mater Pharmacy Site. They will be responsible for the management of appropriate budgets and ensure the meeting of all financial targets. Ensure exception reporting arrangements are in place for your area of accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manages and co-ordinates the delivery of patient services within the Mater ensuring all legal obligations and standards are met.
• Ensuring pharmacist beign deployed as Reponsible Pharmacist have appoirpriate training and induction and that gaps in rotas are filled with appropriate skill mix and competency.
• Lead on role development and skill mix review within patient services at the Mater.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of two years hospital experience as an 8A or above.
• Experience of Leading Change.
