The successful candidate will assist in the safe, hygienic and efficient operation of the Food Hubs and to support the delivery of wider hospitality requests within the College.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation or be willing to complete this within 6 weeks of employment.
  • Have at least 3 months relevant employment experience working in a catering environment e.g. Café, Coffee Shop or Kitchen, with duties including cleaning, cooking or till operation.

Desirable Skills

  • Have employment experience of food preparation or cooking.

Further Information

The College is recruiting for a Kitchen Attendant/Till Operator for permanent post for 13.5 hours per week, term-time, at our Strand Road Campus. The working pattern for this post is likely to be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. This post is anticipated to start in September 2026. Salary - Band 3 - £25,583 - £25,989 per annum (pro rata), (£13.62 - £13.84 per hour)
