Fryer & Kitchen Assistant
Job description
Job role is based in a busy Kitchen operating Fryers and hotplates safely and efficiently. Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Cooking / Cleaning.
- Prepare, cook and serve food in line with company recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented to a consistently high standard. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain food quality and safety.
- Assist with food Preparation and stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, workstation and kitchen areas.
- Work effectively as part of the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Carry our other duties as requested by the Kitchen Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a busy kitchen or takeaway is preferred.
- Ability to operate commercial fryers and hotplates safely.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Desirable Skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well under pressure. Reliable & punctual.
