Job description
The Deputy Manager will support the Manager with the day to day running of a Funded Preschool setting. The Deputy will ensure to provide a safe, nuturing and learning environment for all children attending the setting. Duties will include supporting the Manager with planning, observations and evaluation of the Preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day to day running of the setting alongside the Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare regulations, safeguarding, and Health and Safety standards. Support other practitioners and work as part of a team.
- Complete daily set up of resources and cleaning duties at the end of the session.
- Ability to use own initiative. Knowledge of Social Services inspections.
- Ensure to provide a safe, nuturing and stimulating environment for all children.
- Develop, implement and review policies and procedures.
- Complete observations to link to planning.
- Promote inclusive practice and support children with additonal needs.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Level 5 CCLD or Above .
- Two years paid experience within the last four years within a funded Preschool setting.
- Safeguarding and First Aid training.
- Knowledge of the Preschool Curruiculum and Minimum Standards.
Desirable Skills
- Additional needs training.
- Food Safety Training.
- Food Allergy Training.
Further Information
Work Hours. Monday to Thursday 8am to 3pm. Friday 8am to 2pm.
