Job description

To assist the Cook in the preparation of nutritional meals to meet the needs of the residents, working within the Christian ethos of Corkey House. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• To assist the Cook/Assistant Cook with food preparation
• To serve food
• To take waste to bins
• To clean and tidy work areas
• To clean floors, tiles, appliances and kitchen areas
• To wash dishes

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people
• Awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet the requirements of the Home
• Must be willing to behave in a manner which respects the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
