Family Support Practitioner (Early Years)
Job description
This is an opportunity to use your knowledge and experience in early years, family work or a related setting to make a genuine difference to the lives of parents and young children. Working as part of our team, you will support families with children under five through a combination of home visiting, direct family support and group activities. You will build positive relationships with parents, help families identify their strengths and goals, and provide practical and emotional support to improve family wellbeing and children’s outcomes. Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with families.
- Provide home visiting and practical, emotional and developmental support to families.
- Agree and review family support plans alongside families and the Family Support Manager.
- Promote positive parenting, child development and family wellbeing.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Family Support, Education, Community Work or a related field Or equivalent relevant experience.
