Youth Officer
Job description
The Youth officer will be responsible for promoting the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities, autism and brain injury in a broad range of mainstream activities by developing their social and emotional skills to enable them to participate in their local community.
Responsibilities
- The Youth Officer will also facilitate disability and inclusion training to local stakeholder and promote inclusion throughout the sector.
- This job involves regular evening and weekend work.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- RQF level 6 (e.g. bachelor’s degree) or equivalent level in Youth & Community, Play work, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline. AND Minimum of 1 years paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal.
- OR Minimum RQF 4 or equivalent in Youth & Community, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline AND Minimum of 3 yrs paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal and social development programmes for children.
