Project Worker - Armagh CWS


Job description

As a Project Worker across both our Community Wellbeing Services and Housing Support services in the Southern Trust area, you’ll have the opportunity to work in two vital spaces: delivering recovery focused group programmes and providing personalised, practical and emotional support to people living in their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
  • Contribute to and help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment
  • Support the people who use our services to manage their mental health, physical health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual wellbeing and safety management plans.
  • Actively encourage the involvement of the people who use our services in all aspects of decision-making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by the people who use our services.
  • Implement and adhere to Inspire’s procedures, involving the people who use our services at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • To be flexible and work such hours as required by the post in order to meet the needs of the service
  • A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence. Business Insurance is required for this post
  • Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting OR
  • OR A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
  • Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
  • Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
  • Working knowledge of using IT systems.
