Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our service user who requires a Care Assistant to provide support with daily rehabilitation, personal care, household tasks and community activities, helping them live as independently as possible. Responsibilities

• The role includes assisting with daily rehabilitation and physiotherapy exercises, preparing meals, carrying out laundry and light household duties, changing bed linen, ironing, running errands, and supporting the employer with day to day living.
• Personal care duties include providing assistance with bathroom transfers, supporting hand washing at the sink, and assisting with daily physiotherapy exercises.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A full driving licence is essential.

Desirable Skills

• The successful applicant must be comfortable around a small to medium sized dog and be able to build a trusting and respectful working relationship.
• Experience supporting people with traumatic brain injuries would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Preferably applicants will have at least 1 year of Care Assistant experience.
