About Us: Murphy’s Laundry Equipment provides commercial laundry equipment and services to customers across hospitality, healthcare, nursing homes, education, public sector and commercial laundry industries. Our experienced team manages equipment delivery, installation, servicing and maintenance. We are committed to professional, responsive service while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulatory standards. Operating from Newry and Dublin, we provide service coverage across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, supporting customers. We are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play an role in coordinating daily service operations, supporting engineers and ensuring customers receive efficient and professional service. This fast-paced role is suited to someone with excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. The position involves managing engineer schedules, handling service calls, coordinating appointments, monitoring jobs and keeping customers informed. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily schedules for service engineers, installations and maintenance visits.
  • Handle incoming service calls, emails and customer enquiries professionally.
  • Book and organise service appointments based on engineer availability, location, priority and customer requirements.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor job progress and update customers on appointments, repairs, parts and follow-up visits.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job information, engineer reports and documentation.
  • Order spare parts, communicate with suppliers, track deliveries and arrange follow-up visits.
  • Assist with health and safety and compliance administration, including maintaining records.
  • Follow up on outstanding jobs and help resolve scheduling and operational issues.
  • Provide general administrative support to the service and engineering teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in service coordination, scheduling or administration, with strong communication, customer service, organisation and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, detail-oriented, adaptable and a strong team player.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Provide general administrative support to the service and engineering teams.
  • Previous experience in service coordination, scheduling, administration, customer service or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong organisational, scheduling and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with CRM, field service management or job scheduling systems is desirable.
