Specialist Occupational Therapist CMHT


Job description

The Specialist Occupational Therapist will have responsibility for the day-to-day organisation, prioritisation and delivery of Occupational Therapy Services within the Community Mental Health Team. The Person appointed will be a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team and assist the Line Manager in the development of services.

Responsibilities

  • The post holder will provide a quality Occupational Therapy service to clients in the community with a mental health diagnosis in accordance with local and national guidelines and standards of practice.
  • Participate actively in the multi-disciplinary team and work in partnership with voluntary and statutory agencies.
  • To attend all planning, organisational, review and management meetings directly related to CMHT as directed by Line Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • BSc (Hons) or Dip COT in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligible for immediate registration.
  • 2 years post registration experience to include at least 6 months relevant speciality experience, in a mental health setting.
  • Evidence of post graduate training/education in keeping with CPD.
