The post holder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, standards setting within the department and will be responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of students and other staff. Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse on Part 1, level 1 of NMC Register (Child Branch)
- Have a Nursing Degree and 3 years post-registration experience within paediatric general medicine
- Or Have 5 years post-registration experience within paediatric general medicine and have obtained a post-graduate diploma or equivalent qualification
- Or Have 5 years post-registration experience which must include a minimum of 2 years at Band 6 in paediatric general medicine.
