Medical & Dental Education Simulation/Clinical Skills Nurse
Job description
Responsible as part of the medical education team for the development, evaluation and running of the clinical skills & simulation rooms as a training resource for medical and dental education and training for postgraduate and undergraduate. To act as a clinical educator for simulation/clinical skills sessions. To facilitate the specialist provision of simulation skills within relevant programmes and sessions for medical students, junior doctors and other healthcare professionals. To plan, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate the simulation/clinical skills programmes. To initiate research and design, implement and monitor robust audit mechanisms for simulation skills training, training needs analysis, effectiveness of clinical practice and training outcomes. Facilitate, support and teach simulation skills across the Trust, including clinical issues, risk assessment and audit reports. Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult) or Midwife on the live NMC Register.
- 3 years working at band 5 level or above.
- Immediate / Advanced Life Support Provider or paediatric equivalent.
- Working towards or willingness to undertake relevant postgraduate degree.
