Job description

Seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a young male i(Wheelchair User) in his daily activities, promoting independence and providing assistance and support to allow him to access and participate in a range of community activities. This young man has a range of interests and loves getting out socially. He attends the Gym most days. He enjoys music gigs and selling his crafts at local markets. There is no Personal Care. Assistance with food/drink will be required. Assist with physical activity and occupational therapy exercises.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living tasks and meal preparation.
• Provide support to access a variety of social and recreational activities.
• To encourage to maintain client’s interests and hobbies.
• Provide companionship and support.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Respectful and understanding at all times.
• Flexibility to adapt to change schedules.
• Full clean UK Drivers Licence with access to/own vehicle.

Desirable Skills

• Similar interests to client.
