Finance Assistant


Job description

The Finance Assistant is responsible for ensuring that is invoicing is completed in a timely basis and that bank transactions are allocated correctly on a monthly basis. They will work in conjunction with their colleagues across the Finance department to ensure the successful completion of all month end tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Complete monthly invoicing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Allocate receipts / payments to the correct accounts in Integra (Inspire’s financial management software).
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts on Integra.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Officer / Finance Officer with the production of accurate monthly reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Officer / Finance Officer with credit control across the organisation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE passing grades (or equivalent), to include English Language and Mathematics AND one years’ experience in a Finance function. OR 18 months’ experience working in a Finance function.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office programmes, with a focus on being a competent Excel user.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workloads to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
  • The ability to use initiative and work with minimum direction.
