Locum Appointment for Service CT1 Level Otolaryngology


Job description

To support Consultants in the provision of care to patients in Western Health & Social care Trust. Key organisation relationships The post holder will liaise with medical colleagues, nurses and other staff providing the range of services within the Trust. The post holder will be managerially accountable to the Clinical Lead and clinically accountable to and reporting to his/her Consultant. General care of in-patients and day care patients. Normally to assist at Out-patient clinics conducted by each of the Consultant Otolaryngology and ST3, also to assist at operating sessions of the Consultant Otolaryngology and STR3 Should take part in the General Postgraduate teaching. May be required to assist in the teaching of nurses. Opportunities for Clinical Research. Should attend departmental mortality, morbidity, audit meetings, quarterly Hospital Medical Audit meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Must have Full Registration and Licence to Practice with the GMC.
  • Have successfully completed a UK Foundation Year 2 Programme or have equivalent experience and competencies, or expect to do so at the date of commencing employment.
  • Have at least 1 year experience of working in the HSC/HSE or NHS service as a fully registered medical practitioner.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Otolaryngology.
