Senior Project Officer


Job description

Leading volunteers undertaking Green Gym and therapeutic horticulture sessions. Planning and delivering workshops and training events for community groups and others in the Derry area. Maintaining TCV's garden through delivery of Green Gym and training events. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting TCV and recruiting volunteers to become involved in TCV's projects.
  • Compiling and managing a budget, ensuring cost effectiveness of all projects and generating income through project work.
  • Collect and maintain records and photographs from all projects to document work and complete funders progress reports.
  • Maintaining good standards of health & safety and carry out risk assessment in relation to working environments and people.
  • Maintain and service TCV resources, including premises, IT equipment, vehicles, tools, project materials and PPE

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Applicants should have experience of practical horticulture or environmental work.
  • Experience and understanding of working with volunteers, community involvement and the charity/NGO sector is also important.
