Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them
  • Display compassion and sensitivity to the people who use our services’ and next of kin needs.
  • Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
  • Support the people who use our services to manage their physical and mental health and wellbeing through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
  • Identifies issues and work with the people who use our services to provide the most appropriate solutions to promote wellbeing for all.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • To be able and willing to work waking nightshift. (this role involves 24 hour staff cover on a rota/shift basis).
  • Experience of supporting an individual with household tasks and/or providing emotional support.
  • Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disability issues.
