Job description

We are looking for a Full Time Catering Assistant to join our Aughnacloy team. Full time 36 hours per week 3 x 12 hour shifts between Monday to Sunday. The working hours will be between 7am to 7pm. You will help provide support to the Kitchen Supervisor in preparation and cooking of food for elderly residents. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and cooking of meals.
• Ensure hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
• Record food/equipment temperatures.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Communicate regularly with the line manager.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.
• Work as part of a team.
• Stock ordering.
• Maintain up to date working knowledge of all kitchen duties.
• Accurate record keeping adhering to company guidelines and legislation requirements.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company.
• Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times.
• Provide a quality service at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 years kitchen experience to include basic food preparation and temperature control.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working within a hospital or Nursing Home environment.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
