Play Cafe Assistant


Job description

To provide a friendly and efficient service to customers while preparing high-quality drinks and food, maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, and helping to create a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment for families visiting Sugar Plums Play Café. The Café Assistant will work as part of the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of both the café and play environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers.
  • Prepare food and drinks.
  • Help create a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Supervise play areas.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good communication, literacy and customer service skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Able to work weekends.
  • Can work as part of a team and follow instructions as well as use own initiative.

Desirable Skills

  • Hospitality, retail, childcare or customer service experience.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Cash handling and EPOS experience.
  • Barista training.
  • Paediatric First Aid.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
