Play Cafe Supervisor


Job description

To support the day-to-day operation of Sugar Plums Play Café by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, supervising staff during shifts, and ensuring a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for customers. The Play Café Supervisor will lead by example, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the café during allocated shifts while promoting the values and standards of Sugar Plums.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the play café, supervise staff, deliver excellent customer service, oversee food and drink service.
  • Ensure a welcoming customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, supervise the play environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years' customer-facing experience, including 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of food hygiene, health & safety and safeguarding. Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

  • Food Hygiene Certificate, Paediatric First Aid, barista training, childcare or play environment experience, experience delivering classes or events.
  • EPOS/booking system experience and cash handling.
  • Reliable and flexible.
