We are looking for a confident, compassionate and organised Day Service Coordinator to join Inspire’s Backyard Day Service in Co. Cavan on a temporary 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support for adults with Intellectual Disability and Autism, and who can bring strong leadership, sound judgement and a commitment to inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Your responsibilities will include direct work with the people we support, household activities, administrative tasks, ongoing professional development, & ensuring health & safety standards
• Have working knowledge of & work in accordance with relevant national policies & strategies including the HSE Interim Standards for New Directions, Better Safer Healthcare & Sláintecare
• Work closely with & report to the relevant Service Manager in the administration & management of the Service
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) providing guidance to the staff team to ensure high-quality, person-centred support for the people who attend the service
• Co-operate with external monitoring & statutory inspections & implement their recommendations

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours required for the job which may include some evenings & weekends
• Possess a full current driving licence that allows you to drive in ROI & access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence
• Registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU AND
• (cont) A minimum of 1 years’ in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care which must include the supervision of staff/volunteers & financial management
