Foyle Hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting illnesses throughout the North West. Relief Catering Assistants at Foyle Hospice... step in, help out, feel proud We’re recruiting Relief Catering Assistants to support our hospice kitchen team on an ad hoc basis. This is a flexible role, ideal if you’re looking for occasional shifts that fit around other work, study or family commitments. You’ll be part of the team that helps make the hospice feel like home, supporting day-to-day food preparation and service, and stepping in when extra hands are needed. You don’t need to commit to set weekly hours, but you do need to be reliable and comfortable working as part of a great team in a busy kitchen.
Responsibilities
- To assist cook in providing nutritious meals for patients and staff.
- To prepare evening teas for patients.
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- To assist the cook.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A good standard of education.
- One years experience working as a catering assistant and L2 Certificate in Food Safety in Catering.
