Job description

Due to our continual growth, we are looking for HGV Drivers (Category CE) to join our busy Transport division across our depots.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand.
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times.
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally).
• Following all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must hold a valid HGV licence ‘CE’, Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Minimum of 1 year’s HGV (Class CE) driving experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points).
• Good Geographical knowledge of NI.
• Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations.
• Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques & undertake manual work.
• Flexible approach to working hours including weekday, weekends & Bank holidays will be required.
• Good Communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working in the waste industry.

Further Information

Competitive Hourly Rate Competitive Hourly Rate £16.22 per hour. Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 44 hours Monday to Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Time and a Half.
