Experienced Plumber Location: Maydown Company: SPG Mechanical About Us SPG Mechanical is a growing mechanical services company specialising in the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Plumber to join our team. The Role As a Plumber at SPG Mechanical, you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing installations and associated mechanical works on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. You will work alongside our experienced team to deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install hot and cold water services, drainage and sanitary ware.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Test, inspect and commission plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues as required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations.
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site.
• Work effectively with colleagues, subcontractors and other trades.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, organised work area.
• Represent SPG Mechanical professionally while working on client sites.
• Install and maintain plumbing systems on commercial and industrial projects.
• Carry out first and second fix plumbing work.
• Read and work from drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Work closely with other trades and site teams.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Qualified plumber with relevant industry experience.
• Experience working on commercial and/or industrial plumbing projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods and current regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Valid CSR card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience as a qualified plumber.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable Skills

• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
