Asset Surveyor
Job description
The Asset Surveyor will be responsible for assessing the condition of property assets. Key responsibilities include assisting in the delivery of survey programs, identifying defects and risks, liaising with stakeholders, and contributing to asset management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out detailed surveys across a range of property types to evaluate their condition, maintenance needs and compliance with housing and safety standards.
- Accurately record key information on the age, condition, and lifespan of building components, providing vital information to support effective asset management and long-term investment planning.
- Ensure surveys identify non-compliance with statutory standards, including Housing Health and Safety Rating System issues and Northern Ireland Fitness Standards (or equivalent), and accurately record these.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Degree in a relevant surveying or construction field, or a minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant role.
- Experience of building diagnosis and defects identification.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within social housing, asset management or facilities management.
