Production Operative based in Newry.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembly.
- Quality control and compliance.
- General support and continuous improvement.
- Operate machinery and tools to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent production quality.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Ensure all workstations are well-maintained and comply with safety regulations.
- Conduct product testing and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Report any defects.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Participate in workplace safety training and hazard reporting.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote a safe working environment.
- Follow environmental best practices to minimise waste and support sustainability.
- Assist in stock management and material handling.
- Work collaboratively with team members to enhance production efficiency.
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly role (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong analytical skills to assess production quality and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience operating production machinery (advantageous).
- Knowledge of welding techniques (advantageous).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience handling manual tasks and standing for extended periods.
