Job description

Working across various areas of the chilled production facility, you will be responsible for preparing, producing, and packing high-quality meat products in line with company standards. As a Packer, you will work as part of the production line, ensuring products are packed accurately, efficiently, and to the required product specifications, while maintaining food safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work Instructions, and food safety and health & safety requirements at all times.
• Efficiently prepare, assemble, and pack products to specifications, meeting quality standards, packing targets, production deadlines, and waste targets.
• Learn and perform product assembly across a range of products, including rework activities as required.
• Assist with production line set-up, dismantling, washdowns, and the safe removal of conveyors and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, including participating in buddy training, to support an efficient and productive team environment.
• Complete all required training and competency assessments, demonstrating the ability to work independently once trained.
• Undertake reasonable additional duties or work in other production areas as required by the Production Manager to support operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Readiness to work / complete an on the-job training programme.
• Ability to work as part of a team with self-motivation and initiative.
• Good communication skills.
• Proven high level of manual dexterity.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
