Job description

The Mixing Room Operative is responsible for accurately weighing, preparing and issuing raw materials to support efficient production while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and health and safety. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure and prepare raw materials in line with production schedules, specifications and work instructions.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, hygiene and health and safety.
• Keep the Spice Room clean, tidy and organised, following a clean-as-you-go approach.
• Support brand integrity by ensuring products consistently meet specification.
• Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and undertake training across all departmental roles as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Readiness to learn / complete an on-the-job training programme.
• Ability to work as part of a team with self-motivation and initiative
• Competent reading/writing skills in English.

Desirable Skills

• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Experience in butchery.
