A leading supplier and manufacturer of high-quality tools and equipment is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Representative to join its growing team across the Mid Ulster region. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established territory, develop key accounts, and play a pivotal role in driving sales growth across a diverse customer base. Working with trade and retail customers, you'll become a trusted advisor, promoting an extensive product range while delivering exceptional service and helping businesses succeed.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing trade and retail customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the territory.
- Visit customers regularly to understand needs and recommend solutions.
- Achieve sales, margin, and KPI targets.
- Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and sales leads.
- Promote the company's range of tools, equipment, and industrial products.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical advice when required.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM records.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Support product launches, trade events, and promotional activities.
- Provide outstanding after-sales support and issue resolution.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a field sales, business development, or account management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
