This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established territory, develop key accounts, and play a pivotal role in driving sales growth across a diverse customer base. Working with trade and retail customers, you'll become a trusted advisor, promoting an extensive product range while delivering exceptional service and helping businesses succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing trade and retail customers.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the territory.
  • Visit customers regularly to understand needs and recommend solutions.
  • Achieve sales, margin, and KPI targets.
  • Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and sales leads.
  • Promote the company's range of tools, equipment, and industrial products.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical advice when required.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM records.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Support product launches, trade events, and promotional activities.
  • Provide outstanding after-sales support and issue resolution.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a field sales, business development, or account management role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
