Good Relations Officer


Job description

Join the team at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in Enniskillen as a Good Relations Officer and play a key part in building and maintaining positive and healthy relations within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Working with community groups and statutory / voluntary organisations to build community capacity and promote cross community relationships.
  • Build capacity in a rural locality.
  • Monitor and deliver grants and funding from NIHE and other sources including council.
  • Attend night time meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • IT proficiency: Beginner.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Good people and interactive skills.
  • As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of working with community or voluntary organisations would be useful.
