Electrician


Job description

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, inspecting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across a variety of projects. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical wiring, systems, equipment, and components.
  • Carry out electrical installations in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical installations.
  • Complete electrical repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
  • Install lighting, power supplies, sockets, switches, distribution boards, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, testing results, materials used, and any issues identified.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Relevant electrical qualification or recognised trade certification.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, testing, and fault diagnosis.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical health and safety requirements.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full driving licence required.

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
