Electrician
Job description
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, inspecting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across a variety of projects. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical wiring, systems, equipment, and components.
- Carry out electrical installations in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments.
- Diagnose electrical faults and identify appropriate solutions.
- Conduct testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Complete electrical repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
- Install lighting, power supplies, sockets, switches, distribution boards, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer instructions.
- Carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, testing results, materials used, and any issues identified.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Relevant electrical qualification or recognised trade certification.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Strong knowledge of electrical health and safety requirements.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full driving licence required.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
