Job description
Good Relations Officers will focus on delivering support to our communities to ensure they are safe, connected, respectful, and tolerant. The officer will be responsible for delivering all aspects of good relations and building capacity within Housing Executive communities through delivery of action plans attached to our Cohesion and Involvement Strategies. In addition, the officer will support the Area to deliver financial investment through a range of grant funded programmes and to assist in the monitoring of community related social clauses attached to Planned Maintenance schemes.
Responsibilities
- To assist in developing safe, connected, respectful, tolerant, nurturing and inclusive communities.
- To manage Community Cohesion and Community Grants budgets through the Salesforce system and undertake evaluations of funded projects.
- To engage with Community Advocates to enable and empower communities.
- To raise awareness of ethnic inclusion and work with communities to ensure diversity is welcomed.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have a degree or equivalent level 6 qualification PLUS one year’s relevant experience as a practitioner in a Community Relations/Community Development role OR
- Have a BTEC Higher or equivalent level of qualification PLUS 2 years’ relevant experience as a practitioner in a Community Relations/Community Development role OR
- Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND 3 years’ relevant experience in a Community Relations/Community Development role.
