Job description

To work within the Domestic and Laundry Departments, while also working within the Christian ethos of Corkey House.

Responsibilities

• To clean and tidy toilets and bathrooms
• To clean and tidy bedrooms, sitting rooms and corridors
• To follow procedures for the appropriate disposal of waste
• To wash, iron itemise and distribute residents' clothing
• Wash and iron all household laundry

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people
• Awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet the requirements of the Home
• Willing to behave in a manner which respects the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland

Further Information

20 hours per week (shifts 8am - 1pm, 2pm - 7pm worked flexibly across the rota)
