Job description

Care Assistants required for St Joseph's Nursing and Dementia Home, Warrenpoint. To assist in the daily living tasks of those living with nursing and dementia needs. Job role requires personal care to residents, including toileting, washing, dressing and assisting with meal times. Bed making and tidying required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with morning routines including toileting, washing and dressing, feeding.
• Encouraging residents to partake in activities in the afternoons.
• Assisting with evening bed time routines and supper time.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion.
• Work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.

Desirable Skills

• Previous care home experience desirable. Full training will be provided.

Further Information

Location: St Joseph's Nursing Home. Pay dependent on experience. Entry level £12.82 per hour. Private healthcare after 1 years continuous service.
