General Assistant required for Avila Nursing and Dementia Home, Bessbrook. General duties include domestic and kitchen duties as required by the manager.

Responsibilities

• Domestic role involves cleaning resident communal areas and resident rooms daily, ensuring that cleaning products are kept out of reach of vulnerable persons.
• Kitchen role involves assisting the Cook as required.
• Dining room preparation for mealtimes and assisting with clean up.
• Being able to work as part of a team essential.
• Responsibility for all tasks completed to a high standard.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Flexibility within the nursing home.
• Willingness to carry out tasks as required.

Desirable Skills

• Previous care home experience preferred.
• Full training will be provided.
