Job description

MPA Recruitment is looking for Support Workers to work across Supported Living, Housing with Care and community-based services. You will support individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs, helping them live independently, achieve personal goals and engage within their communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support
• Promote independence and daily living skills
• Assist with personal care, domestic tasks and community activities
• Support individual care and support plans
• Monitor and report changes in health and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with tenants, families and other professionals
• Support activities, outings and community events
• Maintain accurate records and complete administration
• Follow RQIA, Supporting People and organisational standards

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• QCF/NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 months' care/support experience
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
• Previous administrative experience
• NISCC registered or willing to register within 6 months
• Enhanced Access NI check
• Or Minimum 2 years' care/support experience
• Willing to work towards a relevant Health & Social Care qualification
