Job description

MPA Recruitment is recruiting Kitchen Assistants to work across nursing homes and Housing with Care schemes in the Derry/Londonderry area. Assist with food preparation and serving meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving meals
• Prepare dining areas, tables and meal trays
• Serve residents in a professional manner
• Receive and store food deliveries
• Clear and clean kitchen and dining areas
• Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Environmental Health requirements
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Support senior kitchen staff as required

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 months catering/kitchen/food service experience
• Enhanced Access NI check
• Good communication skills
• Organised and able to work under pressure
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive approach when working with residents
