Job description
The post holder will be required to support and lead the effective delivery and management of the Regional Operational Ground Maintenance Team. This requires the implementation and delivery of the Region’s various Grounds Services Contracts, through the effective management of the annual grounds maintenance budget, contract performance indicators and provides technical advice & support to the Assistant Regional Manager in all Grounds related matters. Provide leadership and line management for the regional grounds delivery team, ensuring that it achieves high performance, operates efficiently and effectively in accordance with standing orders, recognises best practice, and is well motivated and trained to deliver an excellent tenant focused service.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate operational systems and procedures to ensure a quality Grounds Maintenance Service is provided that will meet the needs of a growing organisation.
- Meet with the Regional Manager and Area Managers on a regular basis to update them on the current position of the programme.
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Regional Manager against time and budget, through collation and preparation of management information as required for performance and other statutory returns.
- Contribute to the composition of the Corporate Strategy and work to achieve the NIHE’s strategic objectives in accordance with the Corporate Plan.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Possess a degree level qualification in a relevant subject AND have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience OR
- Hold a Level 5 qualification in Housing AND a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience OR
- Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND at least 4 years’ relevant experience.
Further Information
All of our employees are assigned a base location, which for this post, will be based in the North region (to cover both Ballymena and Derry/Londonderry offices). The role includes regular travel throughout NI.
