Communications Advisor (Public Affairs)


Job description

The Communications Advisor will work collaboratively to provide a service to customers, to assist in the delivery of the Corporate Communications Department’s Public Affairs function.

Responsibilities

  • To assist with day-to-day preparation of responses to Assembly Questions asked of the Minister for Communities.
  • To assist with preparation of Ministerial Briefings on a range of housing matters.
  • To assist with responding to housing-related correspondence received via DfC.
  • To provide advice, guidance and support to senior management on Public Affairs issues.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Possess a degree or equivalent level qualification (Level 6) AND Can demonstrate 1 year’s relevant experience in a communications environment working with a range of stakeholders OR
  • Can demonstrate 3 years’ experience in a communications environment working with a range of stakeholders AND Can demonstrate continued professional development including the attainment of relevant learning/qualifications.
