DFC Work Experience - Digital Marketing & Content Trainee
Job description
Wild Atlantic Learning is an international educational mobility provider facilitating Erasmus Plus, Turing Scheme, and custom international study placements and language courses. We are seeking a proactive, creative, and data-driven Digital Marketing & Content Trainee to assist with our digital presence, build strong brand awareness, and drive B2B and student recruitment across international educational networks. In this role, you will manage our end-to-end digital marketing output from crafting compelling B2B LinkedIn campaigns targeting universities and vocational colleges, to creating engaging social content that showcases participant journeys and mobility outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality digital content.
- Manage, write, and update web content on wildatlanticlearning.ie.
- Develop visual marketing collaterals.
- Own and grow our primary social channels.
- Execute a tailored content calendar targeting two distinct audiences.
- Plan and run targeted digital lead-generation campaigns.
- Design and execute email newsletters and automated workflows for partner onboarding, program updates, and student inquiries.
- Monitor, analyze, and report weekly/monthly performance metrics.
- Implement ongoing On-Page and Technical SEO strategies to improve organic visibility for international mobility.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, or social media management role.
- Content & Visual Tools: Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro/CapCut), and WordPress/CMS platforms
- Copywriting: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-Starter Mindset: Ability to work independently, manage multiple project deadlines, and interact confidently with visiting international cohorts and partner organizations.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Erasmus Plus, Turing Scheme, or international mobility funding structures.
- Basic video shooting and on-site interviewing experience (e.g., collecting quick student feedback clips during active placement programs).
- Proficiency in a secondary European language (e.g., Spanish, German, or French).
- Paid Media & SEO: Hands-on experience managing budget-conscious Meta Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, along with basic Google Analytics (GA4) and Search Console setup.
Further Information
Employer - Wild Atlantic Learning This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25-30 hours per week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
