Peace of Mind Service Manager
Job description
Inspire is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Peace of Mind Service Manager to lead an exciting cross-community and crossborder programme supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 10 - 25. This is more than a management role. It's an opportunity to help young people build resilience, confidence and stronger social connections while leading a dedicated team delivering impactful services across Northern Ireland and the border counties.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the Peace of Mind project across Northern Ireland and the border counties, ensuring all delivery targets, outcomes and funding requirements are achieved.
- Work flexibly as part of the Peace of Mind Operational Partnership Group and contribute to the strategic development of the programme.
- Develop and implement an outreach, engagement and promotion strategy that supports participant recruitment, retention and achievement of programme targets
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders to maximise participation and programme reach. This will include schools, colleges, youth services, community and voluntary organisations, sports clubs, statutory agencies etc.
- Establish and maintain referral pathways that increase access to the programme, particularly for young people experiencing adversity, isolation, poor mental health or social disadvantage.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Possess a full current driving licecse and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling options for applicants who are disabled.
- To work flexibly as the job will require some evening/weekend working.
- RQF level 6 (e.g Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent in Youth Work/Social Work, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline AND Minimum of 3 years paid experience in project management of services for children, young people.
- Families or other minority group OR RQF Level 5 or equivalent in Youth Work/Social Work, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years paid experience in project management of services for children, young people, families or other minority group.
- Leadership and management skills with the ability to set direction, motivate teams and deliver results through others
- Detailed knowledge of the youth and community sector and an understanding of the challenges facing young people, communities and service providers.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing outreach, engagement and promotional strategies that increase participation and service uptake, contributing to the achievement of funded participation and outcome targets
- Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering projects or services involving children, young people, families or other marginalised groups.
- Experience working with funders, grant providers and partnership organisations, including monitoring data and outcomes and managing associated budgets.
- Understanding of trauma, lived experience, deprivation and the impact these can have on young people and communities across Northern Ireland and the border counties
- Experience using IT packages and systems including Microsoft Office.
