Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Officer to oversee the day-to-day management of our extensive property portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This role involves direct liaison with our in-house maintenance team, coordination of third-party contractors, and oversight of external facility management companies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, compliance and operational performance of a diverse property portfolio
• Manage and support our in-house maintenance team to ensure works are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Co-ordinate third-party contractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money and quality of service
• Review, assess and recommend FM tenders for properties across the UK
• Implement best practice procedures for health & safety, statutory compliance, and planned maintenance
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections (some travel required)
• Report directly to the Construction Directors

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in facilities management or building maintenance across commercial or mixed-use property

Desirable Skills

• Confident understanding of building systems, compliance and contractor management
• Excellent communication, organisation and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel within the UK as required
