Job description

The post holder provide a comprehensive technical support service to staff and students, support to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of service, and assist in the provision of a high-quality service. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Support lecturing staff before and during lessons: Prepare and ensure equipment, materials and tools are available for the class; Assist and demonstrate techniques as specified by the lecturer during practical sessions.
• Issue equipment and materials to students in accordance with College procedures; Ensure equipment and materials are returned as required.
• Support staff and students in operating relevant equipment, hardware and tools.
• Monitor equipment, tools and materials to ensure safe usage, storage and compliance with College policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have at least a Level 3 qualification in the area of Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples, at least 3 years employment experience working in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering environment.
