The post holder will provide quality teaching and learning opportunities within the specific areas outlined in the post in order to maximise the potential of every student and to undertake non-lecturing duties as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have a University Degree in the specialist area or equivalent qualification; or at least a Level 5 qualification in the specialist area AND at least three years specialist post qualifying industrial, professional or teaching experience
• Specialist area defined as in the area of Social Housing, Housing Studies, Housing Practice, Housing Management
• Have GCSE English or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication AND GCSE Maths or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules, (Grade C or above) or any qualifications deemed to be equivalent

Desirable Skills

• Have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector OR be currently registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI).

Further Information

Salary: £32,600 - £42,917 (plus £3,333 Threshold and £1,735 Deane payment if applicable) per annum pro rata Hours: 0.5 FTE (18 hours per week) Annual Leave: 49 days annual leave per annum pro rata Pension: Northern Ireland Teachers Pension Scheme
