Job description

Our Kitchen Assistants work alongside the Cook assisting with providing nutritious and enticing meals for the residents in our care. You will be part of the reason that our dining experience is consistent and delivered to a high standard for all our residents. Based in our local family run Nursing Home.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the general cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen area, equipment and appliances.
• Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home
• Assist in the service of all meals and snacks. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all time.
• Responsible for assisting the cook with the cleanliness of the kitchen and of all equipment, cleaning materials, liquids and solvents used in the kitchen.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Food Hygiene Level 2 (Can be completed by sucessful candidate).
• A team player who engages well with others.

Further Information
