Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and guide them to their tables
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Serve dishes and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
• Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Handle guest payments accurately, including cash, card transactions, and issuing receipts

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
• Ability to perform basic maths calculations for billing and transactions
• Communication skills to interact with guests and team members
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including, weekends, and holidays as needed

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
• Basic understanding of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus
