Job description

As an Electrical Engineer you will work as part of the Maintenance team to test, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical related equipment in the factory. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all factory equipment. Duties range from ensuring that maintenance targets and quality parameters are met, carrying out machinery checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service all equipment in area of responsibility. Assist in maintenance in areas out of personal remit.
• Maintain production machinery to ensure operations are running efficiently and effectively through periodic maintenance checks.
• Effectively liaising with the Maintenance Manager and advising of all machinery breakdowns.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Electrical/Engineering NVQ level 3 at a minimum.
• 2 years experience as an electrical engineer within a factory environment.
• An in-depth knowledge of electrical activities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working in a food processing / factory environment.
• 18th edition standard. An in-depth knowledge of mechanical (pneumatics, welding and hydraulics) activities.
